Scope

Child and Parent Interviewing Techniques for Child Development Students Course aims to provide knowledge and skills on child and parent interviewing techniques in different contexts to formal 4th grade undergraduate students of child development department of universities in Istanbul.

Topics covered by the training;

1. Communication within the Family 
2. Interaction-based Interview with Families with Typically Developing Children 
3. Interview with the Child and Family in the Hospital Environment 
4. Interviewing the Child and Family in Forensic Cases 
5. Interview with the Child and Family in the Foster Family System 
6. Interviewing the Child and Family during the Death and Mourning Process 
7. Interview with the Child with Special Needs and His/her Family 
8. Practical Studies and Case Studies

The trainings specified in the training content are planned as face-to-face interactive. After each theoretical training, the trainings will be reinforced practically by dramatization, case studies, video screenings. 
There will be question-answer and discussion sections at the end of the lessons.
